ANSYS Project for Flow over a Flat Plate

This was a short project where I was introduced to ANSYS Fluent. During this, we were tasked with figuring out how to create a model, set up a mesh, establish parameters, and run several tests while noting the results. Finally, we were tasked with generating a tutorial for what we had done. To view this tutorial, please CLICK HERE:

The following are some snapshots from this project:

1.) Initially, we created the geometry that we were to study, in this case, a flat plate with a pointed boundary.

2.) Next, we generated a mesh to analyze the variables at several points:

3.) After creating the geometry and generating the mesh, we set our parameters and began testing.

The following images show the results:

Later, we used this knowledge to analyze more complex geometries and further established our knowledge of ANSYS Fluent.

Utilizing this knowledge, I have been able to perform Finite Element Analysis on several different projects, and this gave me a great understanding of what parameters to consider when performing analysis.
